Chapter membership is available to anyone with an interest in aviation. Although many Chapter members either own or are building or restoring an airplane, these activities are not required for membership. In fact, many members don't own an airplane or project, and some don't even have their pilot certificates - but they all share a common love of aviation.
Membership in the national EAA organization is required for Chapter membership. Both national and Chapter Membership can be arranged at any Chapter meeting. National membership is $40 per person per year. Chapter dues are $15 per person per year.
The rewards of Chapter membership include:
Access to the vast technical
knowledge of Chapter members, from career pilots and professional
aircraft
mechanics to seasoned private pilots
Monthly educational programs
pertaining to aspects of project building and certification, aircraft
design,
and just about anything that has to do with flying
Participation in monthly
fly-outs
Involvement in our Young
Eagles
rallies
A spectacular annual fall
cook-out
with the Greene County Airport community
A warm and lively annual
Christmas
party
How to
Join Our Chapter. The easiest way to join our
Chapter
is to simply show up at one of our regularly scheduled gatherings. We
normally
meet on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm, but if we start
with
one of our great pot-luck dinners, we gather at 6:00pm.. You're welcome
to join us any time. Check the Calendar page for exact dates and times.
Try
to arrive a few minutes
early and ask for and introduce yourself to one of the officers
(treasurer,
secretary, vp or president). We'll get your name and other information
and
get you signed on as a member in no time. We'll also provide an
application
for national EAA membership if you're not already a member.
